MONTECRISTO

Montecristo is arguably the most recognised and admired brand of Havana cigars worldwide. It serves as the benchmark by which many cigar enthusiasts compare other brands.

The brand’s name is inspired by Alexandre Dumas’ classic novel The Count of Monte Cristo, which was a favourite story read to the Torcedores (cigar rollers) in the factory where Montecristo was founded in 1935.

Originally, the Montecristo range consisted of a limited selection of sizes, numbered 1 to 5. Today, the brand offers a broad variety of vitolas to suit the needs of all levels of cigar lovers.

Whether from the classic medium-to-full range, the lighter Open Series, or the more robust Linea 1935, Montecristo cigars are renowned for their perfectly balanced blends. MEDIA CORONA

The name "Media Corona" translates to “Half Corona,” a size first introduced in the UK in 1907 by an English cigar importer. The story goes that he wanted to avoid keeping his wife waiting at the theatre while he finished his full-sized Corona.

The Montecristo Media Corona marks the second time this size has been used, and at just 3 1/2 inches long, it is the shortest long-filler, handmade Cuban cigar available today.
