MONTECRISTO

Montecristo is widely regarded as the most recognised and admired Havana cigar brand globally. It sets the standard by which many cigar smokers judge other brands.

The name originates from Alexandre Dumas' famous novel The Count of Monte Cristo, a favourite among the Torcedores (cigar rollers) in the factory where the brand was established in 1935.

Originally, the Montecristo range included only a few numbered sizes from 1 to 5. Today, it offers a broad selection of vitolas, catering to cigar enthusiasts at every level.

Whether part of the classic medium-to-full line, the lighter Open Series, or the newer, more robust Linea 1935, every Montecristo blend is crafted with perfectly balanced filler and binder leaves exclusively sourced from the Vuelta Abajo region, known for producing the world’s finest tobacco.

Tasting Notes:
The draw is superb, and the construction is excellent. Offering complex flavours, the final third is slightly stronger, but it remains an exceptional smoke. It’s considered one of the top three cigars from this brand.
